New Programme Board appointed

The newly appointed Board will consist of four people – experienced social activists, project managers, local government workers and scholars. The task of the new body is to prepare Institute’s new project – a climate conference in autumn. The Council already had its briefing with President Wałęsa.

Patrycja Satora will serve as the Board Coordinator. Ms. Satora has a wide experience in project management and fundraising, she also served as the Vice-Consul in Polish Embassy in Caracas and coordinated the “Solidarity with Cuba” and “Solidarity Shorts” projects at the Lech Wałęsa Institute.

Dr Małgorzata Bonikowska, expert on European issues, author of the Regional Centres of European Information and in years 2001-2008 European Commission expert and President of the Information and Communication Programme of the Commission in Poland, will serve as the member of the Board as well as Ms. Jolanta Fierek, former President of the Coopertive Bank in Czersk and former mayor of the city of Czersk, and Mr. Dariusz Szwed, expert on sustainable development, Head of Green Institute’s Programme Council and co-ordinator of Energy Democracy project.
